Mentor Cohesive Gel Implants

Mentor cohesive gel implants are one brand name of this product. This type of gel implant has a design to have a firmer interior. Specifically, the Mentor Company has developed a new product called the Contour Profile Gel or CPG Mammary Prosthesis. This type of implant is not FDA approved in the United States just yet, though long term research conducted to determine the safeness of using the procedure. As a cohesive gel implant, the fluid inserted into the actual shell of the implant is thicker than what is normally in saline implants. This gives the implant a fuller look and a firmer texture, which many find better suited. The gel contained within the implant is thicker because of the product used in them. Although this type of implant is new in the United States, this and other companies in Europe have used it in similar products.
